This is the advisory for our first vote in the CHANGE POLITICS MOVEMENT. As previously mentioned our voting will run from Aug 28 – 8 AM to Aug 29 5PM.

Please note of the following guide for voting.

1) Online Voting

If you have access to the internet, we request that you vote through the internet. Please visit our website for the link below to vote online:

Let us know if you can not access so we can email the forms to you.

2) Text vote

We have availed the services of GLOBEINNOVE for our text vote. CPM will be the sender’s name and the instructions will be contained in the text message. Please follow the text guide carefully so it will be easier for us to count your votes aided by an automated counter.

The possible syntax or text to reply to would appear like this :

The reply text should be sent to the following numbers:

Globe Lines – text 2338 (normal text charge)

Non- Globe Lines – 0917-588-2338 (charge will be 2.50/text)

Reminder if voting by text, do not vote any more online or by precinct – just vote once.

3) Precinct Voting

Members who applied and approved to vote by precincts will be allowed to vote this process especially those without access to internet or mobile phone signals.

Greetings Comrades and Colleagues!

The national council of the Change Politics Movement met today and reviewed the progress of our work. As of August 17, 2009 we have 4, 151 registered members in the national secretariat! !!

Pagbati sa lahat!!! Congratulations! this is sheer commitment, hardwork and creative mobilization!

The National Council deliberated on the current context and political developments. It also assessed our capacity to conduct the first vote on August 21 and 22 as well as the final vote of September 5……after much debate and discussion, we decided to move the first vote by one week. We wanted to give the secretariat and the provincial coordinators the time to disseminate the information on the candidates and prepare for the special precincts for those who do not have access to mobile phones and internet.

The new dates are:

FIRST VOTE – AUGUST 28 – 29

FINAL VOTE – SEPTEMBER 11

WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE RESULTS IN A PRESS CONFERENCE ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2009.

LET US DISCERN, DELIBERATE, DEBATE, DISCUSS….AND THEN DECIDE!
